Fire Program


Manitoba Conservation is responsible for the stewardship of Manitoba’s environment, fisheries, forests, parks, water and wildlife. The are committed to delivering programs and services that preserve and protect our environment today, and for future generations.  Specifically, Manitoba Conservation is involved in taking action on climate change, establishing a world heritage site, protecting biological diversity and celebrating Manitoba Parks.

Assessment

The Land Programs Branch administers Crown land use programs. It works with Regional Land Managers to ensure sound management practices and land-use decisions are consistent with policies, procedures and legislation.

The Environmental Assessment & Licensing Branch will ensure that developments are regulated in a manner that protects the environment and public health, and sustains a high quality of life for present and future Manitobans.

 

The Manitoba Conservation Fire Program  provides fire updates (outlining the general fire status in the province), fire situation reports  and weather forecasts, fire hazard maps providing insight to the provincial fire dangers
